Medford Public Schools

Office of Finance, Personnel and Administration
p.781-393-2100 f.781-393-2119

Dear Parents/Guardians,

For next school year 2013-2014, we will be requiring that each student sign up for a bus stop in order to ride the bus.

We have 15 busses and need to be able to more efficiently assign busses and reroute busses, as necessary.

Also, lists of students by bus will avoid any overcrowding, as we will know who should ride each bus.

Please complete the questionnaire (download as PDF) for each child who will ride the bus for SY2013-2014. The data you provide will be used to more efficiently run busses across the city. Current stops are listed on our website. If your child attends an after school day care, please identify that specific site (i.e, Boys & Girls Club).

During the school year – If your child needs to deviate from the submitted schedule, please remember that the request must be put in writing to the principal. If your child needs to permanently change a stop, please send the request to the principal, who will forward it to the transportation office and the lists will be adjusted, if possible.

Please be advised: We may not always be able to accommodate your request.

Return the completed BUS STOP SIGN-UP form (download as PDF) for each student who will be riding a bus in SY2013-2014 and return the form to your child’s school as soon as possible. The school will forward them to the transportation office.

If you do not sign up now, we may not be able to accommodate sign-ups that are received during the summer.

Unless you hear from us, please be assured that your child has a seat on the bus.

Routes will be published in August on our website and in the local newspaper.
