High School Graduation Information

MHS graduation

The Class of 2015 graduation will be held on Thursday, June 4, 2015. Each graduate will receive six tickets on Friday, May 22. Additional tickets will be available upon request.

Commencement will be held at The Gantcher Center (161 College Avenue, Medford) at Tufts University at 6 pm. Graduates must arrive at 5 pm. Guests will be allowed entrance after 5 pm.

Please note that balloons, food, and drinks are not allowed in the Gantcher Center.

Parking Information

Graduates/guests must park in the Tufts Parking Garage on Boston Avenue or on the street. There will be limited parking in the Alumni Field lot; however, it will not be available until approximately 30 minutes prior to graduation. Handicapped parking only is at the Eliot Pearson School on College Avenue – to the left of the Gantcher Center.

“C” Day

Hey MHS – it’s Earth Week! Come Peg a Polluter TODAY & TOMORROW during both lunches!

Buy your tickets TODAY in C103 for the Mexican Mask Makers Festival! It is taking place NEXT WEDNESDAY, May 27th from 12 until 2:18. See a Foreign Language teacher for more information. Students that have already purchased their tickets need to let Senora Lepore know what their food selection is if they haven’t done so already.

Attention seniors: if you ordered senior apparel and have not picked it up, please stop by the Main Office.

Attention SENIORS: University Cap and Gown will be here TOMORROW during first and second lunches outside the cages. This is the last time they will be here! Cost is $16.50 for cap, gown and tassel and extra tassels are $3.00.

ALL SENIORS should wear their College T-Shirts TOMORROW for the Senior Video during our graduation rehearsal!

The nurses have visited every senior homeroom to hand out health records. If you did not receive your health record, please stop by the nurses’ office.

To all robotics team members – come to our party in the Lecture Hall TODAY at 2:20. It will be lots of fun and there will be pizza!

Chorus: our year-end celebration and graduation rehearsal are TONIGHT. The party starts at 6 and the rehearsal is at 6:30.

Attention students and staff: there will be a reduced number of computers available for us in the Library on both Tuesday and Wednesday of next week while the technology
department completes an upgrade to correct the low disc space error messages students have been encountering. You may have to wait for computer time, especially during the very busy before school and lunch time periods. An announcement will be made when the work is completed.

9th Grade Tufts Visit Details

The 9th grade class at MHS & MVTHS will be visiting Tufts University on June 15th and 16th.

Parents/guardians need to fill out the field trip form (download here) and return to either the Guidance Office or Mr. Tucci’s office by June 1st.

Due to our Medford and Tufts University partnership, we are able to bring students this is an exciting opportunity for college exposure!

Medford Public Schools has partnered with MCC to offer an online payment option for your convenience.

Online payments can be made for the summer fun camp, summer school, summer vocational program, and driver’s education. Other programs will be added as we continue to review school fee collections.

School Lunch/Breakfast is Separate

Please note that all school lunch online payments are separate and must be made at MySchoolBucks.com.

Service Fees

Please note that there is a nominal fee for this service. If you choose to directly debit your checking account using your check number and routing code, the fee is 25 cents.

Both ACH and credit cards (MasterCard, Discovery, and American Express) are now accepted!

If you choose to pay with a MasterCard, Discover Card, or American Express (at this time there is no option to pay with VISA) the 3% fee is based on the total amount charged.
